Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University head football coach
Joe Conlin has received a four-year contract extension through the 2026 season it was announced today by director of athletics Ed Kull.

"Year in and year out Coach Conlin continues to advance our football program and we are thrilled to ensure his future at Fordham," said Kull. "His emphasis on the holistic development of our student-athletes as well as his success on the field proves he is the right leader for our Rams and we are proud to extend his contract."

Conlin just completed his fifth season at Fordham, leading the Rams to a 9-3 overall record, 5-1 in the Patriot League. Fordham received an At-Large bid to the 2022 NCAA FCS Championship, its first NCAA appearance since 2015, where the Rams fell to New Hampshire.

The 2022 Rams were an offensive force, leading the NCAA FCS in total offense (608.9 yards/game) and passing offense (413.8 yards/game) and ranking second in scoring offense (49.5).

Senior quarterback
Tim DeMorat, who set numerous Fordham and Patriot League single season and career records, finished second in voting for the 2022 Walter Payton Award, presented to the NCAA FCS Offensive Player of the Year.

DeMorat also earned All-America honors along with senior wide receiver
Fotis Kokosioulis, grad student offensive lineman
Phil Saleh, and sophomore linebacker
James Conway.

DeMorat was also named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year for the third straight year and he was joined by seven other Rams in earning All-Patriot League honors.

The Rams are scheduled to open the 2023 season on August 26 at the University at Albany.
