Geneva, Ohio – (February 16, 2023) – Competition at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Swimming & Diving Championship continued on Thursday night, where the Fordham men's team sits in sixth place in the team standings.
George Washington leads the competition with 295 points, followed by Massachusetts (184), George Mason (178), Davidson (163), St. Bonaventure (157), and Fordham (150)
After not having a finalist in the 500 freestyle, the Rams had three finalists in the 200 individual medley event.
Alex Wilhelm had the top performance, scoring fifth in the "A" final in a season-best time of 1:47.54.
Noah Althoff then grabbed ninth overall by winning the "B" final in 1:48.70 with
Daniel Langlois in 13
th at 1:50.83.

Fordham also had three finalists in the 50 freestyle event.
Christian Taylor took bronze for third overall in the "A" final at 20.5 seconds, while
Taras Zherebetskyy scored sixth in 20.42 seconds.
Alexander Shah then added to the Rams' scoring in 12
th place in the "B" final at 20.69 seconds.
Then in the diving well,
Marco Petit chipped in for the Rams, scoring 16
th overall in the one-meter dive, scoring 189.70 in the "B" final.
The evening of men's events finished with the 200 freestyle relay, where
Paris Raptis, Taylor, Shah, and Zherebetskyy earned bronze with a school record time of 1:20.14, besting the record set earlier this season at the Bucknell Invitational.
Day three of the championship begins at 10:00 AM on Friday with preliminaries races with the finals starting around 6:00 PM.
