Andrew DiRienzo Named Assistant Football Coach at Fordham

Former Rutgers assistant will lead the Ram tight ends

Bronx, N.Y. – Andrew DiRienzo, a former assistant coach at Rutgers University, was named an assistant football coach at Fordham it was announced by head coach Joe Conlin. DiRienzo will be in charge of the tight ends for the Rams.
 
DiRienzo comes to Rose Hill after five seasons at Rutgers, the last four as an offensive assistant. In 2022, he served as an offensive quality control coach with the wide receivers, assisting the wide receiver coach with preparing and implementing wide receiver installations and meetings as well as supporting the coach with on field individual and group drill work.
 
From 2019-2022 DiRienzo was an offensive graduate assistant coach with the wide receivers while in his first season with the Scarlet Knights he was a player development coach, responsible for weekly drawings of opponent's top pass concepts and creating weekly scouting report and post-game evaluation presentations.

Prior to his stint at Rutgers, DiRienzo served as the defensive backs coach at Division III Pace University in Pleasantville, New York. In his lone season with the Setters in 2017, DiRienzo helped install the defensive game plan and oversaw Pace's special teams unit. DiRienzo also worked as the program's social media coordinator.

DiRienzo was a student assistant at Springfield College from 2015-16, where he worked with the team's wide receivers as a junior and quarterbacks as a senior. He graduated from Springfield in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sports studies.
