West Point, N.Y. – The Fordham women's tennis squad opened weekend play by defeating Army West Point, 5-2, at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center on Saturday morning.
"Great team effort today," said head coach
Michael Sowter. "All three pairs came out strong to claim the doubles point and we continued with a gritty performance in singles. It's always a difficult environment to play at West Point so really proud of the mental toughness we showed today."
Fordham took the doubles point, winning both of the competed matches, and then won four of the six singles matches for the win.
