Bronx, N.Y. – (December 1, 2023) – A new season for the Fordham track & field team is set to begin on Saturday afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Staten Island.
The Rams will be taking part in the Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, hosted by St. John's University.
Fordham is scheduled to compete in eight men's events and 11 women's events. For the men, the Rams will race in the 60-meter dash, 60-meter hurdles, the 300 meters, the 500 meters, and the 1,000 meters. They will also be in three field events, including the pole vault, the long jump, and the triple jump.
On the women's side, Fordham will have field event competitors in the pole vault, shot put, weight throw, long jump, high jump, and triple jump events. Then in the running events, the Rams will take part in the 60-meter hurdles, the 200- and 300-meter dashes, the 1,000- and 3,000-meter runs.
