Newport News, Va. – (January 31, 2023) – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced its weekly indoor track & field award on Tuesday with Fordham's
Kyla Hill (Springfield, Mass.) earning Women's Performer of the Week honors for the second straight week, while teammate
Jana Rokitta (Wuppertal, Germany) was selected as Field Performer of the Week for the first time.
At the River Hawk Invitational on Friday, Hill won the 200-meter dash event in a personal-best time of 24.49 seconds, good for the second-best time in the league this season. She then broke her own 60-meter dash school record with a time of 7.60 seconds, good for second at the meet and third in the league this season.
In the field events, Rokitta won the high jump event, clearing 5' 7", which is just shy of her league-best mark of 5' 8", set last week at the Ramapo Season Opener.
Hill, Rokitta and the rest of the Rams are back on the track twice this weekend. Fordham is at the 2023 Metropolitan Indoor Track & Field Championship on Friday, February 3
rd, at the OBP Track & Field Complex on Staten Island, while on Saturday, February 4
th, the Rams will run at the Scarlet Knights Open at the Armory Track & Field Center.
