Balazs Berenyi (Budapest, Hungary) was selected as the league's Rookie of the Week.
Berenyi kicked off his Fordham career, appearing in all four matches at the Bruno Classic this weekend, totaling 10 goals, five assists, and five steals. He had a pair of goals in the season opener at #16 Harvard on Saturday, and followed up with two goals, an assist, and two steals in a win over MIT.
On Sunday, Berenyi scored a match-high six goals to go with three assists and two steals in a win over Gannon, while registering an assist and a steal against #5 Pacific.
Berenyi and the rest of the Fordham water polo team will next be in action September 10-11 at the Princeton Invitational.
