New Haven, Conn. – Fordham golf began the annual MacDonald Cup at the Yale Golf Course and finished 36 holes on day one in 10^th place. Minnesota leads all schools with a combined 1-over 701, while St. John's Peicheng Chen's 11-under leads all individuals.
 
John Kryscio carded a season-low even-par 70 in round one, trading a pair of birdies with a pair of bogeys, but still topped the group despite a 6-over 76 in round two, in which he added three more birdies. He'll enter day two in a share of 31^st, while P.J. O'Rourke ended in a share of 37^th at 7-over with three birdies on the day.
 
Nicholas Manning was next up in a share of 40^th at 8-over, posting two rounds of 4-over with four total birdies. She also posted a team-best 1-under on par-3's. Andreas Aivazoglou enters day two T50 after an opening 72 and five total birdies over both rounds, four in the first round. Jake Mrva also rolled in five birdies, including four in the opening round, and enters day two T66. Rounding out the group was Chris Konefal in a tie for 68^th.
 
The final 18 holes will kick off on Sunday morning.
