Golf Opens Play at the Hartford Hawks Invitational

Round One Results

South Kent, Conn. – Round one of the Hartford Hawks Invitational went off without a hitch but round two of the 54-hole event was stopped early due to inclement weather. Whoever hasn't finished their second round will do so on Tuesday morning followed by the final 18 holes. The Rams finished round one 13^th at a combined 4-over and were led by sophomore Chris Konefal. Central Florida was atop the team leaderboard, while Fairfield's Killian McGinley led with 5-under.
 
Competing in his second event for the Rams, Konefal carded a 2-under 70 for the day to sit in a share of eighth after the opening round. Behind him were Nicholas Manning at 1-ove rand in a share of 36^th and Andreas Aivazoglou at 2-over 74 and tied for 48^th. Rounding out the group were P.J. O'Rourke and Jake Mrva, both shooting 3-over 75's to sit 58^th, and John Kryscio, who shot a 79.
