Kensington, Conn. – Fordham golf closed play at the season-opening Ryan Lee Memorial on Sunday, remaining in a share of 12
th place, led by senior
P.J. O'Rourke, who finished in a three-way tie for 18
th at 2-under. Sacred Heart took home both team and individual honors, winning by seven strokes and led by Marcus Lim at 10-under.
Newcomer Chris Konefal led the Rams in the second round at even-par 71, matching four birdies with four bogeys, to finish T66 at 5-over. Both O'Rourke and
Jake Mrva finished a shot over par, the former bouncing back from a quadruple-bogey on the first hole and birdieing five of the remaining holes, the latter also rallying after starting 3-over through four holes and finishing with four birdies.
Mrva and
Nicholas Manning both finished T51 at 3-over for the weekend, with Manning rolling in three birdies and carding a 2-over round. Andreas Aivazaglou rounded out the group with a round of 5-over.
The Rams are back in action a week from Monday at the two-day Hartford Hawks Invite.
