Bronx, N.Y. – (May 31, 2022) – The Fordham men's soccer team has released its schedule for the 2022 fall season which features 16 regular season contests along with three exhibition contests.
Under fourth year head coach
Carlo Acquista, the schedule is broken down into eight non-conference matches and eight conference matches.
The regular season begins on Thursday, August 25
th, as the Rams begin the year at Hofstra for a 5:00 PM start. In addition to this road contest, Fordham also has road challenges at LIU (Sept. 2), Loyola Maryland (Sept. 12), and Rutgers (Sept. 26).
Fordham then comes home to Jack Coffey Field for its home opener on August 28th, when the Rams host Providence for a 3:00 PM start. This is the first of four non-conference home games which also includes matches against Manhattan (Sept. 6), UMBC (Sept. 9), and Princeton (Oct. 25).
Action in the Atlantic 10 Conference will begin on September 17
th, when the Rams host rival Rhode Island under the lights at Jack Coffey Field. Fordham will also welcome Massachusetts (Oct. 1), Saint Louis (Oct. 8), and the newest member of the Atlantic 10, Loyola Chicago (Oct. 29).
For road conference matches, Fordham visits St. Bonaventure (Sept. 24), Davidson (Oct. 5), Saint Joseph's (Oct. 15), and Duquesne (Oct. 22).
On top of the regular season schedule, Fordham will have three preseason exhibitions against Fairfield (away) on August 13
th, Sacred Heart (home) on August 16
th, and Marist (away) on August 20
th.
The 2022 schedule will lead to the Atlantic 10 Championship with opening round contests, starting on November 5
th with the championship final on November 12
th.
