Bronx, N.Y. - Fordham University's Jack Coffey Field and Houlihan Park are getting a facelift this summer, highlighted by a replacement of the facility's FieldTurf. The field is used by the Fordham football, baseball, women's soccer, and men's soccer programs, along with club sports and intramurals.
Â
"We are excited that the Jack Coffey Field and Houlihan Park
renovation project has begun," said Ed Kull, Director of Athletics. "This project will ensure that we have one of the top outdoor facilities in the area, not just for our student-athletes, but for the entire university. Many thanks to Jim Houlihan and the Houlihan family for their continued generous support of Fordham Baseball and Houlihan Park.Â
We are looking forward to getting back to action on the field in August."
The process began on May 25 as crews started removing the old FieldTurf in order to access the drainage system, which will also receive an update.
Â
Plans are for the project to be complete in August in time for the Fordham varsity soccer and football seasons.
