Bronx, N.Y. – It's been a few years since the Fordham women's crew competed in the Spring Metropolitan Championships but the Rams made up for lost time, winning three of the four events, to win the 2022 Metropolitan team title in Orchard Beach.
 
The Rams took gold in the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, and Varsity 4, while placing second in the Novice 4.
 
The Varsity 8 beat Sacred Heart to the finish line by three seconds, covering the course in a time of 6:44.65.
 
The Varsity 8 was comprised of Anya Casey (1), Lizzie Kerrigan (2), Lila Evans (3), Maren Geier (4), Annabelle Baulch (5), Maja Gunz (6), Eleanor Rodde (7), and Elli Lewis (8) with Alex Levy at coxswain.

The Second Varsity 8 won by open water, easily crossing the line ahead of Sacred Heart with a 7:04 clocking, almost 30 seconds in front of the Pioneers.
 
The Second Varsity 8 was comprised of Elizabeth Weldon (1), Tiernan Degnan (2), Catherine Samia (3), Margarita McCoy (4), Brooke Gould (5), Jamie Forbes (6), Caitlin Boyle (7), and Hanna Decker (8) with Stefania Rocca at coxswain.

The Rams had three boats make the Varsity 4 grand final with the A boat placing first (7:55.1), the B boat second (8:04.4), and the C entry third (8:33.5).
 
The Varsity 4 was comprised of Taylor Bell (1), Lauren Yu (2), Fiona Eves (3), and Katherine Karustis (4) with Paige McCallum at coxswain.
 
The second Varsity 4 was comprised of Grace McFadden (1), Grace McFadden (2), Nicole Simbana (3), and Carley Walker (4) with Charlotte Maravelis at coxswain.
 
The third Varsity 4 was comprised of Jaden Hochroth (1), Olivia Caponga (2), Molly Ewing (3), and Jordan Schmidt (4) with Sophie Davis at coxswain.
 
The Novice 4 placed second in 8:09.2, crossing behind Iona but in front of Stony Brook.
 
The Novice 4 was comprised of Jaden Hochroth (1), Jillian Klostermann (2), Molly Ewing (3), and Maggie Geier (4) with Sophie Davis at coxswain.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, May 14, as they compete in the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J.
