New Haven, Conn. – Fordham golf competed in the one-day, two-round Yale Spring Invitational on Saturday, finishing 12
th out of 15 schools.
John Kryscio led the way for the Rams in a share of 36
th with a score of 150. Yale boasted the team title at 14-over while Drexel's Tafadzwa Nyamukondiwa won the event at 3-under.
Kryscio carded identical 75's in his two rounds, finishing with a score of 150 in T36, one stroke ahead of
Ryan Davis, who notched a 151 on scores of 74 and 77, and two strokes ahead of
Nicholas Manning, who finished 76-76-152 and had the second-most pars in the competition, 27.
P.J. O'Rourke finished solo 55
th with a score of 154 after two 77's, and
Garrett Brown rounded out the team in a share of 65
th with a score of 159, including a season-low 77 in round two, improving upon his opening round by five strokes.
Davis and Kryscio led the way with four birdies apiece. The Rams were fourth best in the field on the four par-3's at 9-over with Kryscio playing them at 1-under and both Brown and Manning at 1-over. Manning and Kryscio also played the two par-5 holes at even-par.
The 2021-22 campaign comes to a close later this month at the three-day, three-round Atlantic 10 Championship, held this year at Reunion Resort golf course in Orlando, Fla. from April 29
th to May 1
st.
