Cherry Hill, N.J. – The Fordham women's crew traveled to New Jersey over the weekend where they competed in the Knecht Cup the on the Cooper River.
 
The Rams were led by the Second Varsity 8, which placed fifth in the grand final, while the Varsity 8 took third in the third final. The Varsity 4 placed third in the petite final while the Lightweight 4 and the Freshman/Novice 4 both took sixth in the grand final. Fordham also had entries in the Freshman/Novice 8 and the Second Varsity 4.
 
The Second Varsity 8 opened the competition with a second place finish in its heat in 7:03.81, to advance to the grand final where the shell placed fifth in 7:15.24.

The Second Varsity 8 was comprised of Catherine Samia (1), Jamie Forbes (2), Alyssa Neducsin (3), Annabelle Baulch (4), Brooke Gould (5), Tiernan Degnan (6), Eleanor Rodde (7), and Elli Lewis (8) with Stefania Rocca at coxswain.

In the Varsity 8 races, the Rams placed sixth in their heat in 7:00.08 to advance to the semifinals where the placed fifth in 6:50.41. Fordham then raced in the third final, placing third in 7:03.71, ahead of Colgate, George Mason, and Iona.
 
The Varsity 8 was comprised of Anya Casey (1), Lizzie Kerrigan (2), Lila Evans (3), Maren Geier (4), Molly Murray (5), Maja Gunz (6), Caitlin Boyle (7), and Hanna Decker (8) with Alex Levy at coxswain.

The Freshman/Novice 8 took fourth in its heat (8:24.24).
 
The Novice/Frosh 8 was comprised of Nicole Simbana (1), Maggie Geier (2), Jaden Hochroth (3), Sara Castro-Sanchez (4), Riley Dominianni (5), Jillian Klostermann (6), Molly Ewing (7), and Jordan Schmidt (8) with Sophie Davis at coxswain.
 
The Varsity 4 opened the regatta with a third place showing in its heat in (8:18.34) to advance to the petite final where the Rams placed third (8:16.27).
 
The Varsity 4 was comprised of Elizabeth Weldon (1), Grace McFadden (2), Fiona Eves (3), and Katherine Karustis (4) with Paige McCallum at coxswain.
 
The Second Varsity 4 finished fourth in its heat.
 
The Second Varsity 4 was comprised of Taylor Bell (1), Carley Walker (2), Margarita McCoy (3), and Lauren Yu (4) with Alena Bujnowski at coxswain.
 
The Lightweight 4 took fourth in its heat (8:26.72) to advance to the grand final where they placed sixth.
 
The Lightweight 4 was comprised of Elizabeth Weldon (1), Olivia Caponga (2), Taylor Bell (3), and Hannah Mason (4) with Charlotte Maravelis at coxswain.

The Freshman/Novice 4 won its heat in 8:35.65, just edging Pittsburgh, to move to the grand final where they placed sixth.

The Rams return to action on Saturday, April 16, as they compete in the Kerr Cup on the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia.
