Philadelphia, Pa. – (February 19, 2022) – Day two of the CSA Team Championship has come to a close for the Fordham Rams, dropping both contests on Saturday to Vassar and Denison at the Arlen Specter U.S. Squash Center in Philadelphia.
The Rams fell in the Saturday opener to Vassar in a hotly contested affair, 5-4.
Fordham earned wins at the second, fifth, sixth, and eighth slots to get out to a 4-1 match lead.
Sofia Arseniev started with a five-game win over Alex Wisneski at the sixth position, 11-6, 10-12, 9-11, 11-6, and 11-8, while
Dylan Panichello knocked off Reese Collins at the eighth slot, 11-7, 11-6, 11-13, and 11-6.
Then, it was
Henry Frawley getting by Sameer Mustafa at the second spot, 12-10, 6-11, 8-11, 11-7, and 11-2 with
Winthrop Reed IV defeating Max Swan, 9-11, 11-4, 11-6, and 13-11.

Unfortunately for the Rams, Fordham was unable to get the decisive fifth point, as
Justin George and
Robert Cruikshank lost in four games, while
Patrick Rodden,
Nicholas Choo, and
Caleb Schumacher fell in three games.
In match two, Fordham lost by a 6-3 count.
Getting a point via default, the Rams were only able get two more points out of Dension.
Arseniev earned her second win of the day, defeating Rayan Dar at sixth position, 11-7, 11-8, and 11-9, as did Panichello at the eighth slot, topping Mark Taylor 11-6, 11-8, and 11-4.
The Rams end their season with a 9-15 record.
