Bronx, N.Y. – (December 3, 2022) – The Fordham squash team wrapped up the fall semester portion of their schedule on Saturday, posting a sweep of three matches against Yale Club, Connecticut, and Swarthmore.
With the win, Fordham improved to 13-4 on the year.
The Rams opened the day early with a 6-3 win over Yale Club.
Fordham almost made it a 7-2 win, but Rohan Takur was able to outlast
Robert Cruikshank in five games for the win, 11-7 7-11, 14-12, 9-11, and 13-11.
The Rams followed with a 9-0 win over Connecticut. Fordham took care of business quickly as eight of the nine matches were three-game sweeps.
The lone match to go longer was at first position, where Fordham's
Nicholas Gilman came back from a game down to win in five games over Daniyal Athar, 5-11, 12-10, 6-11, 11-8, and 15-13.
Adham Nassar won at the second slot over Sam Mason, 12-10, 11-7 and 11-9 with
Henry Frawley disposing of Ali Fadhil, 11-7, 11-3, and 11-2 at third position.

In the final match of the day, the Rams defeated a short-handed Swarthmore squad, 9-0.
Fordham opened with a 4- lead as Swarthmore had only five players competing on Saturday.
In the opening slate of matches, Stanley, Jhunjhunwala, and Hess each earned their second win of the day at the second, fourth, and fifth slots. Stanley topped Paris Shan, 11-3, 11-3, 11-8, while Jhunjhunwala took down Owen Sears, 11-5, 11-6, and 11-4. Hess also won in three games over Leo Sun, 11-9, 11-3, and 11-5.
The Rams then closed out the match with two more wins, as George defeated Saumya Raj at first position, 11-1, 11-0, and 11-2, with Cruikshank getting past Devyani Mahajan, 11-0, 11-3, and 11-3.
Fordham is now off until their next matches on January 21
st, where the Rams meet Wesleyan and Connecticut College.
