Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham University director of athletics Ed Kull announced a flurry of head coaching contract extensions along with staff promotions for the department it was announced today.
 
"We are extremely excited to announce these promotions and changes to our department," said Kull "We are continuously evaluating how we operate and I believe all of these changes will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Fordham Athletics. We maintain our promise to promote, support, and make the necessary changes to advance Fordham Athletics and ultimately enhance the experience of our student-athletes."
 
Head coaches receiving contract extensions or reappointment include:

• Ian Choi, Volleyball Head Coach
• Brian Horowitz, Track & Field/Cross Country Head Coach
• Melissa Inouye, Softball Head Coach
• Kevin Leighton, Baseball Head Coach
• Michael Sowter, Director of Tennis/Head Women's Tennis Coach

 
Additionally, the following assistant coaches received promotions:

• Phil Bannister promoted from Assistant Head Coach to Associate Head Coach for Men's Soccer.
• Alyssa Kaufman promoted from Assistant Head Coach to Associate Head Coach for Volleyball. 

 
Kull also announced the following staff promotions and additions:

• Sr. Anne Walsh, RSHM, formally a member of the academic advising staff, has been named the Life Skills Advisor for Athletics where she will serve as a guide and provide counsel to Fordham student-athletes.
• Frank McLaughlin has been named Special Advisor to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and Recreational Sports and will provide historical perspective and guidance to the athletics department, as well as continue his work with alumni events and engagement.
• Jordan Bowles promoted from Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to Senior Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Initiatives and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
• Kara Field's title has been changed from Director of Athletic Development, Assistant Athletic Director to Director of Athletic Development, Associate Athletic Director.
• Joe Riley promoted from Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management to Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management.
• Jean-Michel Royall promoted from Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment and Purchasing to Associate Athletic Director for Equipment Operations and Purchasing.
• Gülay Siouzios, Assistant Director of Labor & Employee Relations at Fordham will now be the athletic department human resources liaison. She will assist the department with HR policies, compliance, onboarding and off-boarding procedures, trainings, etc. 
• Kim Mallow has both been promoted to Associate Athletic Director for Business Affairs and will assist with budget development, oversight, and management of the athletics budget.
