Jean-Michel “Frenchie” Royall joined the Fordham staff as the Assistant Equipment Manager in July of 2015 before being elevated to his current position of Assistant Athletic Director for Equipment Operations & Purchasing in December of 2017.
 
As the Assistant Athletic Director for purchasing, Royall is responsible for inventory maintenance and distribution of apparel as well as athletic and field equipment for 22 varsity sports. He also handles all branding issues, including artwork creation and approval to ensure consistent representation of the University in athletic apparel. Royall coordinates student worker management for undergraduate student workers and handles football game day operations, including pre- and post-game operation and practice set up/operations.
 
Prior to being named the Assistant Equipment Manager in 2015, Royall served as an Equipment Manager Assistant in the Fordham equipment room from July 2013 through June 2015. He compiled team order forms, took inventory of arriving orders, created artwork orders and was charged with football game day operations at home and on the road.
 
A 2013 graduate of Fordham, Royall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History while achieving Dean’s List honors as a junior and senior. He also served as student worker in the Fordham equipment room while an undergraduate, assisting in taking inventory of purchases as well as assuming laundry and practice and game set up responsibilities.
