After serving as the athletic facilities and events manager at Fordham since November of 2019. Joe Riley was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management in October of 2021.
Riley is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all athletic facilities. He will also be in charge of coordinating a logistics plan for each event and for all day-to-day operations and will be the coordinator for all home athletic events.
Riley began his Fordham career as assistant equipment manager in November of 2017. He was responsible for assisting the assistant director of athletics for equipment operations and purchasing with all aspects of the equipment room including purchasing, fitting, storage, cleaning and inventory management of all uniforms and equipment.

Riley comes to Fordham from Club Fit Jefferson Valley in Jefferson Valley, N.Y., where he served as a fitness director and Parisi program director. He managed 23 staff members in two departments and scheduled the use of all assigned areas to maximize space utilization for 3,000 members.

No stranger to Fordham, Riley served as an athletic facilities and event manager intern from August 2015-February 2016. He was responsible for developing and executing operations for athletic facilities and events under the direction of the coordinator of facilities.

A 2014 graduate of The College at Brockport with a degree in Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology, Riley was a four-year member of the football squad where he was named to the 2013 SUNYAC All-Academic Team and was the recipient of the 2013 Brockport football most improved defensive player award. He received a master’s degree from St. John’s in Sports Management in 2015.
