Bethlehem, Pa. – Fordham golf started the 36-hole Lehigh Invitational on Friday, finishing 14
th and led by
P.J. O'Rourke's 2-over. St. John's sits atop the leaderboard at a collective 3-under with Brendan Smith leading all golfers at 4-under.
O'Rourke finishes the day in a share of 18
th with a pair of birdies. The senior was 1-over for both the front and back nines with both birdies coming on par-4's among the last six holes.
John Kryscio shot a 79 with a trio of birdies, tops on the squad, and will enter Saturday in a tie for 52
nd.
Andreas Aivazoglou was just behind in a share of 58
th with an 81, notching one birdie, a feat matched by
Nicholas Manning, whose 83 puts him a tie for 70
th. Rounding out the group was
Jake Mrva whose 84 puts him in a share of 73
rd. Though he did not card a birdie, he did post an eagle on the par-4 13
th hole, the first of his collegiate career.
