Derby, Conn. – The Fordham women's rowing squad opened its 2022-2023 season last weekend at the Head of the Housatonic at Indian Well State Park.
 
The Rams entered multiple entries in the Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 races. In the Varsity 8 race, the Fordham A shell placed 17th in 17:14.9, while the B boat was 25th in 18:36.9. The Fordham C entry was right behind the B boat, taking 26th in 18:56.2, while the Fordham D shell took 28th in 19:16.0

The Fordham V8 B: 8-Lila Evans, 7-Brooke Gould, 6-Margarita McCoy, 5-Catherine Samia, 4-Elizabeth Weldon, 3-Olivia Capogna, 2-Bailey Scherdorf, 1-Alex Zaneski, cox-Charlotte Maravelis.
 
The Fordham V8 C: 8-Aya Hubbard-Cree, 7-Anna Hinck, 6-Jordan Schmidt, 5-Nicolette Giamarusti, 4-Grace McFadden, 3-Fiona Eves, 2-Carley Walker, 1-Taylor Bell, cox-Alena Bujnowski.
 
In the Varsity 4 event, the Fordham A shell placed second in 18:30.4, just behind Trinity College, while the Fordham B entry placed fourth (18:59.0). The Fordham C boat was sixth (19:41.0) while the D shell was seventh (19:47.9), and the E boat was 12th (21:00.2).
