Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham freshman linebacker James Conway was named GEICO Patriot League Rookie of the Week when the League office announced honors on Monday.
 
Conway, a freshman linebacker from Omaha, Neb., earns his second straight Rookie of the Week honor after recording a season-high 15 tackles, eight solo, in the Rams' loss at FAU on Saturday night. He also recovered a fumble in the contest and broke up a pass.
 
On the year, Conway has 27 total tackles, 14 solo, along with an interception, pass brake up, and fumble recovery.
 
The Rams return to action on Saturday, September 25, as they travel to Stony Brook, N.Y., to face the Stony Brook University Seawolves at 3:30 p.m.
