Simbury, Conn. – The Fordham golf team produced the seventh-best team score on Sunday to move up from 12
th into a share of 10
th out of 16 schools at the season-opening Ryan Lee Memorial, hosted at Hop Meadow Country Club. Mac Lee took home individual honors with a 5-under 139, leading Boston College to the team title, as well.

The pairing of newcomer Ryan Davis and junior
John Kryscio each began the season in strong fashion, carding two-day 144's to finish in a share of 9
th at even par. Kryscio carded back-to-back 72's with eight total birdies, while Davis shot 1-over on Saturday but committed just one bogey with a pair of birdies on Sunday for a 1-under 71, joint-lowest round of the weekend for the Rams.

The other 71 came from junior
Andreas Aivazoglou, who rebounded from an opening round 82 to finish T63 with a two-day 153. His Sunday round involved five bogeys but also four birdies, including one on the final hole to get under par, and an eagle on the par-4 fifth hole.
P.J. O'Rourke and
Nicholas Manning rounded out play for Fordham, finishing T72 and T78, respectively, with scores of 157 and 160. O'Rourke carded six birdies total.

Fordham is back in action next Monday and Tuesday, September 20-21, at the Hartford Hawks Invite, held at Bull's Bridge Golf Club.
