Philadelphia, Pa. – The Fordham University crew competed at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta on Saturday on the Schuylkill River.
 
The Rams entered five boats in the regatta: varsity 8, third varsity 8, junior varsity 8, varsity 4, and junior varsity 4.
 
The varsity 8 placed fourth in its heat, behind Drexel, Temple, and Washington College, and advanced to the Final 2, which the Rams won, easily beating Coast Guard to the line.
 
In the third varsity 8 event, the Rams took third behind Drexel and Temple.
 
In the junior varsity 8 competition, Fordham placed fourth, behind Drexel, Temple, and Saint Joseph's.
 
In the varsity 4 race, Fordham placed fourth in its heat, trailing Drexel, Lafayette, and Clemson, but ahead of La Salle. The Rams advanced to the Final 2 race where they finished fourth, behind Georgetown, La Salle and Saint Joseph's and in front of Loyola.
 
In the junior varsity 4, the Rams placed fourth in its heat.
 
The Rams return to action next Saturday, May 15, as they compete in the 2021 Atlantic 10 Championship.
