Springfield, Mass. – (May 16, 2021) – Select member of the Fordham track & field team had an early morning departure on Sunday to compete at the ECAC/IC4A Championship, held at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
The Rams took part in three relay events on the day – the men and women's 4x800 relay and the men's 4x400 relay.
First, the Fordham women's 4x800 relay team of
Helen Connolly,
Taylor Mascetta,
Nicoleta Papavasilakis, and
Mary Kathryn Underwood, finished 11
th overall in a season-best time of 9:33.62.
Then in the men's 4x800 relay, the Rams' group of
Charlie Da Silva,
Zalen Nelson,
Patrick Tuohy, and
Jeremiah LaDuca had the highlight of the day, scoring fifth overall in season-best time of 7:46.65.
The final Rams' competition came in the men's 4x400 relay, where
Michael Capone,
Erik Brown,
Thomas Lewis and
Justin Lombardi clocked in at 3:28.31, good for ninth overall.
