Kansas City, Mo. – (May 12, 2021) - United Soccer Coaches announced the 2020-21 Division I Soccer All-Region Teams and three Rams were among the honorees.  Graduate student Matt Sloan and senior Luke McNamara garnered First Team All-Southeast accolades, while graduate student Josh Levine earned Second Team honors.

The Southeast Region teams are compiled from players from the Atlantic 10, Conference USA, and Sun Belt conferences.

Sloan had an immediate impact in his first season at Rose Hill, leading the Rams in scoring with four goals and nine points this spring.  He saved his best performances for last, scoring in both matches of the Atlantic 10 Championship, which included the game-winning goal in the title match against George Washington.  He received the Championship's Most Outstanding Player Award and was one of six Rams named to the All-Championship Team.

McNamara served as the steady hand on the Fordham backline, playing every minute this spring.  He helped Fordham post five team shutouts, while offensively, he scored a career-high three goals and was Named First Team All-Atlantic 10.  He was also selected to the All-Championship Team, following Fordham's fourth A-10 crown, and helped the Rams finish with a team goals against average of 0.65, which ranked in the top 20 in the NCAA.

Like Sloan, Levine was a vital new piece to the Rams' championship run, taking over as the Rams' starting goalkeeper from day one.  Playing every minute for the Rams this spring, he was a two-time Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week selection and earned a spot on the All-Championship Team.  He ranked in the top 20 nationally in goals against average, save percentage, and shutouts, while also finding his way into the Fordham single season record book.  His 0.65 goals against average tied the school record set in 2011 by Ryan Meara, while his .857 save percentage is the second-best mark in program history, behind only Meara's 2011 mark of .862.
