Cross Country Earns All-Academic Accolades from the USTFCCCA

Fordham’s Men’s and Women’s Teams Honored for Eighth Straight Year

New Orleans, La. - The U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2020 Division I All-Academic Cross Country teams with a total of 432 men's and women's teams earning the distinction as a result of earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher. The Atlantic 10 Conference was once again well represented in the 2020 season with a total of 23 teams represented, which included Fordham's men's and women's teams.
 
Overall, there were 199 men's teams and 233 women's teams that received All-Academic honors in NCAA Division I.  In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period.
 
Fordham posted a 3.67 GPA for the women's squad, while the men's team recorded a 3.45 GPA.
 
From a conference perspective, 12 Atlantic 10 women's teams were honored, while 11 Atlantic 10 men's teams honored.
 
Fordham was one of 11 Atlantic 10 schools to have both its men's and women's team honored, joining fellow Atlantic 10 teams, Duquesne, Dayton, George Washington, George Mason, La Salle, Massachusetts, Richmond, Saint Joseph's, Saint Louis, and VCU.  The women's team from Rhode Island was also honored.
