Bronx, N.Y. – (November 12, 2021) – St. Francis Brooklyn's Adonis Vlassis scored three goals, while Djordje Stoiljkovic had 14 saves to lead the Terriers to a 13-7 win over the #16 Fordham Rams in water polo action at the Messmore Aquatic Center on Friday night.
The Terriers led wire-to-wire in the match, getting goals from eight different scorers, as they spoiled the Rams' Senior Night, as Fordham honored
Hans Zdolsek,
Bailey O'Mara, and
Dimitris Koukias prior to the match.
For Fordham,
George Papanikolaou had two goals and two steals, while
Jacopo Parrella had a goal and three assists. Zdolsek and
Christos Loupakis each had a goal and a steal with
Curtis Vidinoff and
Sebastian Zapatero having the final two tallies. In net,
Thomas Lercari posted nine saves.
The Rams will now await to see who their opening round opponent will be at the MAWPC Championship, which will be held, November 19-21, in Annapolis, Md.
