Photo Gallery - Since becoming a varsity sport in 1993, there has been one yearly opponent that has never changed for the Fordham women's soccer team and that would be there annual Battle of the Bronx match-up with Manhattan College. In the 2000 edition of the game, the fireworks were out in full force with the highest scoring affair between the Rams and Jaspers – a 6-2 victory by the Rams at Gaelic Park.
Highlighting the day for the Fordham offense was Corinne Jankowski, who scored three times for the hat trick.
"I remember this game very well! There is nothing better than scoring a hat trick in the Battle of the Bronx and winning on your opponent's home field at Gaelic Park," remembered Jankowski. "These Fordham soccer memories always put a smile on my face."
Jankowski got the scoring started in the 22
nd minute, when she knocked in a rebound of an Alejandra Guitian shot for a 1-0 Fordham lead.
Fordham then scored twice in the 28
th minute, just 23 seconds apart, extending the advantage to 3-0. First, it was Kirstin Gellatly scoring on a penalty kick, which was followed by Jankowski's second goal of the contest.
The Rams made it 4-0 shortly after halftime in the 52
nd minute, as Jankowski scored on a direct free kick for the hat trick.
The Jaspers tried to get back into the game with goal in the 59
th and 63
rd minute to close the difference to 4-2. However, the Rams did not relent, netting two markers over the final ten minutes to close out a 6-2 victory. Casey Finnegan scored in the 82
nd minute off a cross from Emily Parella, while the last goal was scored by Gina DeSantis in the 88
th minute on a shot from 25 yards out.
In net, Fordham goalkeepers
Shannon Misiaszek and Meghan McDonald split the duties with Misiaszek, making three saves over the first 58:32 of the game, while McDonald finished out the final 31 minutes.

Results – (Hop Meadow Country Club – Simsbury, Conn.) - The Fordham golf program's last team and individual victory came on this date three years ago at the Ryan Lee Memorial when the Rams, led by senior
James Mongey, finished 11 strokes ahead of Bentley University, maintaining their lead over the field after the first day of play. It was Fordham's seventh team title since the turn of the century and the 11
th individual over the same timeframe, and Mongey's first.
It was the opening tournament of the 2017-18 season and the Rams kicked the campaign off in style. Money fired a career-best 4-under 68 on day one, not just the lowest round of the tournament by two shots, but it was just one of eight rounds in the red all weekend. Mongey would card a better two-round score just four weeks later at the Bucknell Invitational, with a 137, but his first round of 68 remained the best of her career and the second-lowest of the modern era, plus his combined 140 tied for third-lowest. The senior rattled off a tournament-high 12 birdies over the weekend, including eight on day one.
Seniors
Joseph Trim and
Matt Schiller each finished with a 1-over 145 for the weekend. Trim carded six birdies to Schiller's three, though the latter maneuvered around just three bogeys all weekend. Junior
Josh Madarang enjoyed a 2-under day one 70 with four birdies but backed up with a 4-over on day two. Freshman
Mithran Denbow got the call on opening weekend and finished with a 4-over 149 for the weekend. All told, the five Rams carded a combined 2-under 574.
