Bronx, N.Y. – Though the calendar says it's February, the Fordham University football squad opened the spring practice season on Wednesday on Murphy Field under third-year head coach Joe Conlin.
 
The Rams return ten starters on each side of the ball. The offensive returners are led by offensive lineman Nick Zakelj, quarterback Tim DeMorat, and running back Zach Davis, who were first team All-Patriot League picks in 2019 while running back Trey Sneed and lineman Phil Saleh received second team honors.
 
On the defensive side, the Rams return the potent linebacking duo of Ryan Greenhagen and Glenn Cunningham, both first team All-Patriot League selections last fall. In addition, Greenhagen was named a Sophomore All-American while defensive lineman Ellis Taylor was named second team all-conference.
 
On special teams, the Rams return All-Patriot League placekicker Andrew Mevis.
 
The Rams will have 13 additional spring practices before the annual Spring Game, which will take place on Saturday, April 4.
