Bronx, N.Y. – (January 17, 2020) – The Fordham squash team continued a busy week with its second match of the week, falling to Chatham University by an 8-1 score at the Lombardi Squash Courts.
With the loss, Fordham fell to 14-7 on the year, while Chatham improved to 11-4.
With a 2-0 lead due to defaulted matches, Chatham won the top six slots for the team win.
Fordham's lone point came from the seventh slot, where
Caleb Schumacher knocked off Zane Porterfield in three games, 13-11, 11-7, and 11-7.
The Rams almost earned a second win at the second slot, but
Griffin Fitzgerald came up just short against Owais Rasheed, falling in three games, 11-7, 11-9, and 11-8.
Fordham is back in action on Saturday, January 18
th, as the Rams take on Hamilton at 11:30 AM. This is a slight time change from the original schedule.
