Fordham Football Report #2

A look at the Rams’ quarterbacks

Bronx, N.Y. – It was day two of shoulder pads at Fordham football fall camp and that means it's time to start our position-by-position look at the 2019 Rams as we start with the quarterbacks.

Unlike last year when Fordham entered the season without an experienced signal caller, the Rams have returning starter Tim DeMorat, who set school freshman records last fall, along with senior Austin King, who missed last year with an injury after appearing in four games in 2017.

Last fall, DeMorat became the first true freshman to start at quarterback for the Rams since 2011. He completed 148 of 264 passes for 1,633 yards and eleven scores, setting the school freshman record with the eleven touchdown passes while also setting a school freshman mark with four touchdown passes versus Lehigh.

King missed all of last year with an injury but appeared in four games in his first season at Fordham in 2017, starting one. He completed 21 of 42 passes for 265 yards and one touchdown.

DeMorat and King are joined by sophomore Sean Holland, who served as holder for the placekickers last fall after being named the 2017 Division I Player of the Year at Nashua High School South, and freshman Daniel Grozozski, a two-year starter at Burlington Township High School where he threw 25 touchdown passes as a senior last fall.
