Bronx, N.Y. – For members of the 2019 Fordham University football team summer came to an end today as the Rams opened their 2019 fall camp on Jack Coffey Field.

Joe Conlin guided the Rams through a two-hour workout as they prepare for the 2019 season opener on August 31 when Fordham hosts Central Connecticut State University on Jack Coffey Field at 6:00 p.m.

The Rams practiced with helmets only and will do the same tomorrow. Sunday will be the first day of shoulder pads while the first day of full pads will be on Wednesday.

A few veterans changed uniform numbers with wide receiver
Hunter Harris moving from number 15 to 2, wide out
Hamze El-Zayat swapping number 23 for 1, defensive lineman
Jeremy Imperati changing from number 45 to 7, defensive back
Anthony Tony-Itoyah switching from 27 to number 8, defensive back
Damon Lattuga moving from 37 to 13, and
Peter Fitzgerald changing from number 57 to 85 as he moves from linebacker to tight end.

There were many new faces on Jack Coffey Field today with over 25 freshmen taking part in their first collegiate practice.

The Rams will have a short turnaround time as practice number two is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
