CRCA Release

Bronx, N.Y. – Ten members of the 2018-2019 Fordham University rowing squad were honored today by being named a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athlete for the 2019 season.

Seniors Erin Parker and Caroline Roncinske, Emma Spoldi, juniors Debra Chieco, Olivia Herman, Erin McGreevey, Lidya Ozcelik, and Erika Selakowski, and sophomores Elizabeth Berejka, Sophia Singh, were named CRCA Scholar-Athletes. Parker and Roncinske received the honor for the third time while McGreevey and Selakowski are recognized for the second time.

The ten members named to the team are the most all-time for the Rams and the most for any Atlantic 10 school. Duquesne and Rhode Island tied for second among the conference school with seven honorees each.

Parker, who earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors this spring, is an Applied Accounting and Finance major, while Roncinske, who earned Second Team All-A-10 honors in 2019, is a Public Accounting major. McGreevey is majoring in Finance while Selakowski is a Communications major.

Chieco, Herman, and Singh were members of the Fordham second varsity 8, a boat which finished fifth at the 2018 Atlantic 10 Championships and sixth at the Coleman D. Boylan Grand Final at Dad Vails.

Chieco is an International Political Economy major while Herman is majoring in U.S. History and Government and Singh has a dual major of Political Science and English.

Ozcelik, Spoldi, competed with the third varsity 8, which placed fifth at the Atlantic 10 Championships and fifth in the Finals 3 race at Dad Vails, while Berejka was a member of the varsity 4, which placed fourth at the A-10 championships.
