Princeton, N.J. – (May 12, 2019) – Competition at the 2019 ECAC/IC4A Outdoor Track & Field Championship has concluded at Princeton University in New Jersey, as the Fordham Rams finished 11
th in the women's team competition and tied for 32
nd on the men's side.
For the women, the Rams scored 23 points, marking the team's highest finish and highest point total in recent memory. That point total was boosted twice on Sunday, highlighted by the 4x800 relay team of
Laurel Fisher,
Aidan Moroz,
Dana Beggins, and
Sydney Snow, winning their event in 9:06.70.
Kathryn Kelly also scored for Fordham, placing eighth in the 200 meters in 24.76 seconds, while teammate
Mary Kate Kenny was tenth in 24.97 seconds. Kelly was also tenth in the 100 meter dash in 12.23 seconds.
The men ended the championship with six points, after the men's 4x800 relay team of
Christopher Strzelinski,
Sean Sullivan,
Louis Santelli, and
Sean Phillips scored seventh in 7:49.06.
Next up for the Ram is the Swarthmore Invitational on Monday, as select competitors will have a final chance to improve their standing for a chance at the NCAA Regional, hosted by the University of North Florida, May 23-25.
