Evan Durand Named Tight Ends Coach at Fordham

Former Ram volunteer promoted to coaching staff

Bronx, N.Y. – Evan Durand, who served as a defensive quality control volunteer at Fordham last year, was named tight ends coach/co-recruiting coordinator for the Rams it was announced today by head coach Joe Conlin.
 
Last year, Durand assisted the Fordham staff by completing full opponent scout breakdowns as well as creating a weekly comprehensive scouting report. He was also directly responsible for the offensive scout team and completed various projects assigned by the defensive coaches such as playbook and install sheet creation.
 
Prior to his arrival to Rose Hill, Durand was a senior recruiting intern/defensive line intern at Coast Carolina University from 2017-2018. He engaged in all day-to-day recruiting operations for the Coastal Carolina program including maintaining recruiting databases, logging compliance information and managing the evaluation process used by the coaching staff. Durand also took on a lead role in maintaining the program's social media and graphics initiatives and worked under the defensive line coach in a supporting role.
 
A 2015 graduate of Bentley University where he received a degree in sports management, Durand served as a student assistant/video coordinator for the Falcons football squad as an undergraduate from 2011-2014. He worked as a member of the defensive coaching staff and assisted in film breakdown and the compilation of opponent scout materials.
