Jenn Thomas Named Assistant Women’s Rowing Coach at Fordham

Former Franklin & Marshall coach joins Rams

Bronx, N.Y. – Jenn Thomas was named an assistant women's rowing coach at Fordham University it was announced today by head coach Ted Bonanno.
 
"We're excited to be able to elevate Jenn Thomas from volunteer assistant to full-time assistant on our coaching staff," said head coach Ted Bonanno. "She brings a great deal of experience, both on the college and high school level, and will be a big part of our success going forward."
 
Thomas, who had served as a volunteer assistant for the Rams since December of 2018, came to Fordham after serving as the head rowing coach at Franklin & Marshall College in the fall of 2018. She helped the Franklin & Marshall crew improve upon their fall 2017 results, including leading the V4 to the second best performance in program history at the Head of the Charles.
 
Prior to Franklin & Marshall, Thomas was an assistant varsity coach with the UMass Lowell women's program from the fall of 2015 to May of 2018. She taught novice athletes the fundamental s of rowing while serving as the head coach of the Novice program.
 
While at UMass Lowell, Thomas also served as the Hollis Brookline Cavaliers Crew coach in Hollis, New Hampshire, from 2016-2018 where she ran and implemented daily practices on both the Novice and Varsity level as well as the Director of Rowing at Lowell High School in 2015-2016.
 
Thomas graduated from Endicott College where she started her coaching career working with the novices. During her time at Endicott, Thomas interned with the Institute for Rowing Leadership at Community Rowing Inc., and coached their Learn to Row program. As a senior at Endicott, Thomas took on the Head Girls JV position at the Brooks School in North Andover, Mass. A three-year captain and two-time coaches award recipient at Endicott, Jenn graduated in 2014 with a BS in Sport Management.

Thomas has held positions at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, RowAmerica, and Boston University Rec Rowing.
