Bronx, N.Y. – Though the weather felt more like winter, the Fordham University football squad opened its spring practice season on Tuesday on Murphy Field under second-year head coach Joe Conlin.
 
The Rams return six starters on each side of the ball. The defensive returners are led by linebackers Glenn Cunningham, an All-American and First Team All-Patriot League selection last year, and Ryan Greenhagen, a Freshman All-American and Second Team All-Patriot League pick in 2018.
 
On the offensive side, the Rams return lineman Nick Zakelj, who earned Second Team All-Patriot accolades last fall, along with quarterback Tim DeMorat and running back Tyriek Hopkins, who is joined in the backfield by Zach Davis, who missed most of last year with an injury.
 
The Rams will have 13 additional spring practices before the annual Spring Game, which will take place on April 13.
