Fairfax, Va. – (February 24, 2019) – The 2019 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field Championship wrapped up at Mason Field House in Fairfax, Virginia, with the Fordham women's track & field team placing ninth out of 13 teams with 36 points. VCU won the women's team title with 136 points, followed by George Mason (120.5) and Massachusetts (95).
Highlighting the day,
Kathryn Kelly earned Fordham's second medal of the championship, as she placed third in the 200 meter dash to earn the bronze in an ECAC qualifying time of 24.74 seconds.
Fordham scored in five other events on Sunday, starting with
Laurel Fisher in the mile run. She just missed a podium finish, crossing the line in fourth place in a season-best time of 5:01.30.

The Rams then scored twice in the 500 meters, as
Aidan Moroz and
Sarinnagh Budris made the final. Moroz ended up fifth in the event in a time of 1:14.94 with Budris in eighth at 1:17.12.
Fordham also scored in the 1,000 and 3,000-meter runs.
Kate McCormack finished seventh overall in the 1,000 meters in a time of 2:59.91, while
Katarzyna Krzyzanowski was sixth in the 3,000 meter run in a season-best time of 9:50.84.
The final event that the Rams scored in was the 4x800 relay, where Fordham took fourth overall, as McCormack,
Dana Beggins, Moroz, and
Sydney Snow clocked in at a season-best time of 9:08.17.
The team will now prepare for the IC4A Championship, March 2-3, which will be at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
