Middletown, Conn. – (February 10, 2019) – In the Rams' final matches prior to the CSA Team Championship next weekend at Yale, the Fordham squash team dropped its final regular season matches to Connecticut College and Wesleyan on Sunday in Middletown, Connecticut.
With the losses, Fordham is now 17-7 on the season.
In the opening match, the Rams fell to Connecticut College by a score of 9-0. Though the Rams did not pick up a point, Fordham battled tough with five matches going at least four games.
William Douglass came the closest to a win, following to MD Jawad at the #1 slot, 11-3, 6-11, 10-12, 11-5, and 11-8.
In match two, the Rams fell to Wesleyan by a 7-2 count.
Fordham recorded wins at the #2 and #6 positions, as
Will Pantle defeated Yahya Ladiwala in five games, 11-9, 9-11, 11-13, 11-9, and 13-11, while
Winthrop Reed IV topped Alex Dreyfus, 4-11, 12-10, 11-8, and 11-7.
The Rams will next be in action on February 15-17 at the CSA Team Championship, held at Yale University.
