Bridgeport, Pa. – (November 22, 2019) - The 2019 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) All-East Region Team was released prior to the start of the MAWPC Championship on Friday.  The 16th-ranked Fordham Rams were well represented on the All-Conference teams as senior Jake Miller-Tolt (Manhattan Beach, Calif.) and sophomore Bailey O'Mara (Darien, Conn.) were named First Team All-League, with sophomore Dimitris Koukias (Athens, Greece) earning Second Team accolade.  In addition to the three players being honored, co-head coaches Bill Harris and Brian Bacharach were named the Coach of the Year.

After earning Second Team honors a year ago, O'Mara moved up to First Team in 2019 after a stellar sophomore campaign.  A five-time Defensive Player of the Week selection this season, he set the Rams' single season record for total saves with 328, surpassing the mark of 311 by Noah LeBeau in 2014.  He also finished third on the team in steals with 45 to go with nine assists and nine penalty blocks.

Koukias earns his first All-League honor in 2019, garnering Second Team accolades.  Fighting through an injury for most of the season, he still managed to set career-highs with 64 goals and 10 assists for 74 points.  He ranked second on the team in both goals and points in 2019 and was a two-time Offensive Player of the Week selection.

For Harris and Bacharach, the duo received the League Coach of the Year after leading Fordham to a 23-6 record this season with a 9-3 league record.  The team recorded seven wins over ranked or receiving votes teams this season, the most in recent memory, while recording at least 20 wins for the first time since 2015.  The Rams have been ranked nationally for seven of the last eight weeks, rating as high as 16th in the country.  This is the second time Harris has received the Coach of the Year award with his first coming in 2009.
