Leesburg, Va. – (November 2, 2019) – The first women's Atlantic 10 Championship of the 2019-20 season is in the books, as the Women's Cross Country Championship took place on Saturday at Oatlands Plantation in Leesburg, Virginia.
La Salle was the women's team champion with a score of 68 points, followed by George Washington in second with 92 points and Dayton in third with 109 points.
Richmond was fourth at 115 points with Massachusetts in fifth (126), George Mason in sixth (160), and Duquesne in seventh (161). The rest of the field was Saint Louis in eighth (232), Davidson in ninth (236), Rhode Island in tenth (241), Fordham in 11
th (270), VCU in 12
th (280), Saint Joseph's in 13
th (292), and St. Bonaventure in 14
th (429).
Individually, Rhode Island's Lotte Black was the gold medalist, winning the 5K race in 17:38.8, about seven seconds ahead of second place finisher Suzanne Dannheim of George Washington (17:45.3).

For Fordham,
Alexandra Thomas was the top finisher, taking 26
th overall in a time of 18:59.0, with
Sydney Snow in 43
rd at 19:12.0.
Bridget Alex was the next Ram across in 70
th (19:49.9), followed by
Taylor Mascetta (71
st – 19:50.4), and
Katarzyna Krzyzanowski (80
th – 20:02.0).
