Bronx, N.Y. - The CWPA's Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) weekly awards were released on Tuesday with Fordham sophomore goalie Bailey O'Mara (Darien, Conn. / Darien) taking Defensive Player of the Week honors for the East Division.  This is O'Mara's third weekly award of 2019.
 
O'Mara helped the Rams to a 5-1 record on the team's recent road trip to California, which included an upset win over then-16^th ranked Cal Baptist.
 
In those six matches, O'Mara totaled 58 saves, 2 assists, and 10 steals.  His best game was against Cal Baptist, tying a career-high with 17 saves in the overtime win for Fordham to go with a pair of steals.  He also had 11 saves in three and a half quarters against Mt. San Antonio, while notching nine stops and three steals in a loss to then ninth-ranked UC San Diego.

Fordham (15-4) are off until Saturday, October 19^th, when the Rams host Navy at 11:00 AM and Princeton at 5:00 PM at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatics Center.
