Bronx, N.Y. – Eleven Fordham University athletic programs recorded a perfect 100 percent Graduation Success Rate (GSR) in the latest data reported by the NCAA Wednesday. Overall, Fordham student-athletes graduated at a 95 percent clip, tied for second among all Atlantic 10 schools.
 
Recording perfect scores for the Rams were baseball, men's basketball, men's soccer, men's swimming and diving, women's swimming and diving, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's track and field/cross country, women's track and field/cross country, volleyball, and water polo.
 
"These graduation success rate scores are a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes, coaches, and academic advising office," said Dave Roach, Fordham Director of Athletics. "Balancing academic and athletic responsibilities is never easy, but Fordham student-athletes show that it can be done at a rate that ranks among the best in the conference and country."
 
Davidson led all A-10 schools with a total overall four-year GSR of 96 percent and 13 teams with perfect scores. Dayton, Fordham, La Salle and Saint Joseph's tied for second in the league with a 95 percent GSR, followed by George Washington and Richmond at 94 percent. The national average GSR is 89 percent.
 
Along with Davidson's 13 teams with a perfect GSR, 10 athletic teams at Fordham (the A-10 does not sponsor water polo) and the University of Richmond posted perfect scores, while George Mason, La Salle, Saint Joseph's and St. Bonaventure all had eight teams post a 100 percent GSR.  
 
The GSR measures graduation over six years from first-time college enrollment. The NCAA Division I Board of Directors created the GSR in response to Division I college and university presidents who wanted data that more accurately reflected the mobility of college students than the federal graduation rate.
