Philadelphia, Pa. – Records were made to be broken and the Fordham track & field team did just that at the annual Penn Relays on Saturday, as the women's 4x200 relay team set a new school record.
After breaking the school record, set in 2012, in the college finals on Friday, the team of
Mary Kate Kenny,
Merissa Wright,
Laura Jaeger and
Kathryn Kelly set a new mark once again, finishing sixth in the Eastern finals in a record time of 1:37.79.
Also running Saturday were the women's 4x800 relay of
Aidan Moroz, Wright,
Kate McCormack and
Brynna Harum who placed third in an ECAC qualifying and season-best time of 8:59.80 and the men's 4x800 relay of
Christopher Strzelinski,
Arthur Gooden Jr., John Keegan and
Fritz Heinrich, that took 14th in 7:43.78.
On Friday, the men's 4x400 relay of Gooden Jr., Strzelinski, Keegan and
Kyle Mack placed fourth in their heat and 41
st overall in 3:20.89.
The Rams return to action May 5-6 at the Atlantic 10 Championship held at George Mason's Stadium in Fairfax, Virginia.
