Seeds Set For Atlantic 10 Tennis Championships

Women Earn Eighth Seed, Men’s Team Seeded 10th

Newport News, Va. – The seeds have been set for the 2018 Atlantic 10 Tennis Championships, with the Fordham women receiving the eighth seed, while the men are seeded 10th. The championships begin Wednesday, April 25 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.

The Fordham women will open A-10 play against No. 9 Saint Louis at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams defeated the Billikens 6-1 at Life Time Athletic on March 2. The Fordham/Saint Louis winner will take on top-seeded VCU at 3 p.m. on Thursday.  VCU earned the top seed for the sixth straight year.

The Fordham men will challenge No. 7 Saint Louis at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The winner of Fordham/Saint Louis will face No. 2 Davidson at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. VCU earned the top seed in the men's bracket.

The semifinals will be played Saturday at 10:00 am and the championship finale is Sunday at 10:00 am and will be broadcasted on the A-10 Network. Admission will be free for the A-10 Championships. The winner of the 2018 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Sunday's championship final will be streamed in conjunction with the USTA on YouTube. All other rounds will be streamed through the USTA website's Playsight system, which allows viewers to select the court they wish to watch.
