Bronx, N.Y. - The Fordham University Rams continue their 2018 Patriot League season, Fordham's 118th varsity season, by traveling to Worcester, Mass., to take on the Holy Cross Crusaders on Fitton Field in the annual Ram Crusader Cup game on Saturday, November 10, at 12:00 p.m.
Â
The game will be streamed live on Stadium and on Facebook Watch with Matt Martucci (p-b-p), Dave Owens (color) and Meghan Kluth (sidelines) announcing and broadcast live on WFUVsports.org with Raffaele Elia (p-b-p), Jimmy Sullivan (color) and Chris Boccia (sidelines) handling the announcing chores.
Â
Fordham enters the game with a 1-8 record, 1-3 in the Patriot League, coming off a 41-0 league loss to #11/12 Colgate University on Jack Coffey Field last week, while Holy Cross enters the game with a 3-6 overall mark, 2-2 in the Patriot League, and is coming off a 40-14 league win at Lafayette College last Saturday.
Â
This will be 56th meeting between Fordham and Holy Cross on the gridiron with the Crusaders leading the all-time series, which started in 1902, 28-25-2, including a 42-20 win on Jack Coffey Field last year.
Â
A few notes on the game:
Â
• Prior to Holy Cross' win last year, Fordham had won five straight in the series.
Â
• The all-time Ram-Crusader Cup series is tied, 16-16.
Â
• Senior wide receiver
Austin Longi, a Preseason All-Patriot League selection, has 50 catches for 618 yards and four scores to bring his career totals to 181 receptions for 2,333 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Â
• He leads the Patriot League in receptions/game (5.8) and is second in receiving yards/game (68.7).
Â
• Longi ranks fifth on the Fordham career reception list, sixth on the career receiving yards list and tied for fifth on the all-time touchdown reception list.
Â
• Fordham senior tight end
Isaiah Searight has 77 career receptions for 983 yards.
Â
• He is looking to become the fourth Fordham tight end to reach 1,000 career receiving yards, joining Dan Light (1,594 from 2011-14), Stephen Skelton (1,313 from 2007-2010) and Jim Walls (1,021 from 1996-1999).
Â
• Senior wide out
Corey Caddle has 25 catches for 263 yards and one touchdown so far this season to bring his career numbers to 126 receptions for 1,489 career yards with 15 scores.
Â
• Caddle currently is tied for ninth place on the Fordham career receiving touchdowns list and is 13th on the career receiving yards list.
Â
• The Fordham receiving corps is not a selfish bunch as 14 different receivers have caught at least one pass so far in 2018.
Â
• The Fordham captains for 2018 are senior defensive back
Dylan Mabin, and senior tight end
Isaiah Searight.
 Â
• No New York area football team has won more games since 2012 than Fordham, who has amassed 51 victories over that stretch. The closest collegiate competitors are Stony Brook (46), Sacred Heart (42), and Rutgers (34), while the NFL's Giants and Jets have 43 and 41 wins, respectively, each.
