Bridgeport, Pa. – (November 15, 2018) – The Collegiate Water Polo Association announced the 2018 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) East Region All-Conference Teams on Thursday, prior to the start of the MAWPC Championship this weekend at Fordham University.
 
Among the honorees, Fordham had three representatives, led by junior Jake Miller-Tolt (Manhattan Beach, Calif.), who received First Team honors for the second consecutive year, while senior Ian Watson (Upper Arlington, Ohio) and freshman Bailey O'Mara (Darien, Conn.) received Second Team accolades.
 
Miller-Tolt has been the Rams' leader in virtually every category this season, scoring at least one goal in 28 of 29 games on the year.  He has set career-highs in 2018 with 96 goals and 54 assists for 150 points, while adding a team-high 58 steals and 26 field blocks.  Among his 96 goals, he led the Rams with 21 extra-man goals and connected on 19 penalty shot goals.  He also earned the league's Offensive Player of the Week award once this season.
 
A two-year captain for the Rams, Watson garners his first All-Conference honor in 2018 after setting career-highs with 35 goals and four assists for 39 points.  On the defensive end, his 22 steals almost doubled his career total, which was 26 at the start of the season, while his eight field blocks are also a career-best.  As in previous years, Watson was once again among the team leaders in drawing exclusions and penalties with a total of 47.
 
O'Mara picks up the nod as the league's Second Team goalkeeper in just his first season at Fordham.  He came on late in the year after splitting time with Patrick Coffey to finish with a total of 131 saves in just over 49 quarters of work.  He posted a goals against average of 9.02 with a 54% save percentage.  He also added two assists, six steals, and two penalty blocks.
 
The trio will join with the rest of the fourth-seeded Rams on Friday, November 16^th, to open play at the 2018 MAWPC Championship against fifth-seeded Navy, starting at approximately 4:30 PM at the Col.
