Bronx, N.Y. – Fordham sophomore kicker
Andrew Mevis was named Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Week it was announced today. It is the second consecutive weekly honor for the Warsaw, Ind., native.

In a 21-13 Patriot League loss to Lafayette on Jack Coffey Field last Saturday, Mevis punted nine times for 442 yards, an average of 49.1 yards/punt. He had five punts of 50-yards or more, including a 68-yard kick, two yards shy of his career-long, set the previous week vs. Bryant.

Mevis also sent all three of his kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks and converted on his lone PAT.

On the season, Mevis is averaging 42.5 yards/punt and 60.9 yards/kickoff. He also has three field goals and 14 PATs.

The Rams return to action on Saturday as they host Colgate University for a Patriot League matchup on Jack Coffey Field at 1:00 p.m.
